Each lodge may have unique member benefits. Here’s a partial list of perks available to any BGOC member:
- Collective purchasing power. Each lodge can set up their own buying club for bulk purchases of food, supplies, even memberships to streaming services and media libraries
- Mutual aid lending – every lodge maintains a fund for members to borrow from in case of emergencies
- An in-house pantry – every physical lodge has a pantry which members can contribute to or take from. These often include hygiene products, pet supplies, Narcan, and other items which lodges can distribute to the community or members in need
- Insurance – like most unions, members qualify for a group insurance plan* for health, disaster or life coverage (*pending underwriter approval with a minimum 300 participating members)
